The #CIEL categorization of Ecosystem building blocks is based on the #SPHERES philosophy and closely follows encapsulation of Ecosystem with interconnected networks of systems and their elements with internal and external particles. If you think about what is hidden below all of those symbols (i.e. Virtual Data Center) , you clearly see that it is simplified enough to see the whole picture on one slide (screen). And yes, we can do the same thing with thousand of variations by changing symbols , levels of abstraction, selecting different entities, describing arrows and many more. If you think about it, that is actually what makes this model powerful and enables implementation of different perspectives and lenses for variety of target audience.
