Philosophy behind the MetaX framework is extremely simple and follows one general principle: Everything has to be **dynamic** and must be **reference-able**. Or in other words, we have to have the ability to describe non-static, complex, **semantic based ecosystems** with open and closed boundaries.

The MetaX is dynamic framework developed for design, architecture, simulation and execution of Ecosystems, which contains three elementary components (MetaSystem, MetaData and MetaNotation).
The "X" in MetaX name mimics the behavioral disposition of ecosystems by replacing "X" with meta-component purpose. Foundational meta-components are distributed into three categories:
- **MetaSystem** - A type of a System or Ecosystem. Examples: TechnoSystem, SocioSystem, BioSystem, EconoSystem
- **MetaData** - The Data used to describe the Systems, Entities and their Connections
- **MetaNotation** - Analytical and Syntactical notation contains MetaSystem’s MetaData in structural form and enables technology agnostic translation of Metadata
